Join PCBA club members March 27, 2024, 7:00 PM at the Hanson Club House for the annual membership meeting and a presentation.  There will be an annual election at the start of the meeting as well as review of any pertinent club business.

Mass Audubon Drumlin Farm Wildlife Facility: Major Beekeeping Program, An Overview

Mel will discuss the creation of the beekeeping program at the Drumlin Farm facility in Lincoln, Massachusetts. He will give an overview of the beekeeping program, its inception, and discuss the “Natural Beekeeping Approach” that he uses on the farm in working with the bees. In addition, he will review the number of different alternative types of beehives that are in use on the farm, both for research purposes as well as educational purposes for the general public. Mel will also give an overview of some of the research that has been done at the farm related to the health of honeybees and other pollinators.
